As the business world continues its rush into digital technology and software, finding skilled people is not easy. That’s why investing in team building, professional development and cutting-edge facilities and tools is at the top of our list at Hero Teams.
A critical part of producing consistently high-quality work is to create a space that people enjoy spending time in. Even during the pandemic, with the added challenges of remote working, we’ve been able to grow our software development teams by over 50% and have doubled-down on nurturing our team culture.
Over the last year we put the finishing touches on a major renovation of our Ukraine offices to create a spacious, modern, secure and safe workspace. Here’s a few highlights:
Our spacious communal room has everything our teams need to recharge during the day with a large kitchen and lounge area complete with table tennis, Foosball, mini basketball, darts and a PlayStation. Plus, some of the best ideas and collaborations come from informal team catch ups.
We’re big on making health and fitness part of our routine, and we have a trainer in the office twice a week for fitness or yoga sessions, with shower facilities for people who run or ride to work. Our office is regularly visited by a professional massage therapist to ease the tension of hitting deadlines.
Over Communicate is a core value of ours at Hero Teams, so super important that we invest in insuring our team members are ahead of the game when it comes to their grasp of English.
Being an offshore team, remote working has been part of our model for over a decade. Our new space is set up for working from home and remote teams with plenty of meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities. We run daily stand-up client meetings via Zoom, Slack, Google or similar. There’s no arm’s length agency mentality, we’re on your team.
We also understand that magic happens when smart people get together in person. From all-staff learning sessions and summer/winter parties to Friday gatherings, training and industry events, we invest in our team members’ growth.
Everything you expect in a local tech team is embedded in our performance culture... collaborative spaces, training retreats, performance reviews, team building and skills development.
